What’s so Amazing about Grace?

In What’s So Amazing About Grace?  award-winning author Philip Yancey explores grace at street level. If grace is God’s love for the undeserving, he asks, then what does it look like in   action? Come be a part of this Life Group as they explore grace.

Yes, Lord, I Have Sinned but I have Several Excellent Excuses

Why do we try to justify anything and everything we want to do? We use words, scapegoats blaming other people, circumstances, past events, even evil   spirits (“the devil made me do it!”) to attempt to excuse bad  choices we make with our own free will. This Life Group will be reading James Moore’s book that looks at these questions.

Half Truths

  1. Everything happens for a reason.
  2. God helps those who help themselves.
  3. God won’t give you more than you can handle.
  4. God said it, I believe it, that settles it.
  5. Love the sinner, hate the sin.
  6. All true? Not so fast. Discover with author Adam Hamilton that although these sayings capture some element of truth, when compared to the wisdom found in Scripture, they’re really just cultural talk.
